Prêt-à-Portea at The Merrion!

The Merrion, located in the heart of Dublin city centre, is delighted to welcome The Berkeley in Knightsbridge legendary fashion afternoon tea, Prêt-à-Portea to the hotel’s Drawing Rooms from Saturday, 28th January to Sunday, 5th February 2017.

Since 2006, Prêt-à-Portea remains the original fashionista afternoon tea in London featuring key fashion styles from the world’s leading designers and to celebrate its 10 year anniversary The Merrion hotel, will welcome Head Pastry Chef Mourad Khiat and his team who will be in situ for the week-long event.

To mark the arrival of the infamous tea to Dublin, two additional couture cakes inspired by Irish fashion designers, Louise Kennedy and Orla Kiely will also appear and join legendary names such as Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo, Dolce & Gabbana, Jason Wu and Simone Rocha who already appears.

Furthermore, a special book of the Prêt-à-Portea recipes High Fashion Bakes & Biscuits which showcases a collection of over twenty secret recipes and baking techniques is available with the Afternoon Tea experience. The publication finds the fun in fashion, with pastry chef Mourad Khiat spearheading the creative challenge of combining style with substance, and transforming the most decadent designs, fabrics, handbags and vibrant colours into delicious cakes, mousses and biscuits.
