“Like all great hotels around the world, we realise that change is necessary. But no matter how much we change physically, our commitment to our guests remains steadfastly the same.”
So says Peter McCann, General Manager at The Merrion, of the transformation the hotel is embarking on in January 2015. The next 22 months will see Dublin’s best address add a new restaurant overlooking the garden, a brand new spa and 12 new private residences. While Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud will periodically close for lunch until January 2016, all other hotel services will be uninterrupted: construction work will be limited (10am – 5pm) with state-of-the-art sound screening to conceal work in progress.
Peter McCann and his team have put every effort into ensuring that the levels of service and hospitality for which The Merrion is renowned, remain as high as ever. Everyone at The Merrion very much look forward to sharing the next chapter of the hotel’s story when the work is completed.
